Family therapy

Family therapy offers a space for families experiencing ongoing conflict, stress, or disconnection to slow down and better understand the patterns that keep them stuck. Rather than focusing only on individual behaviors, we work to explore the emotional dynamics within the family system and strengthen connection, communication, and mutual understanding.

Using a relational and attachment-informed approach (including principles from Emotionally Focused Therapy), I help families identify the underlying emotions and needs driving conflict. Often, family struggles are not simply about behavior, but about unmet needs for safety, attention, autonomy, or connection. Together, we work toward shifting reactive cycles into more supportive and emotionally responsive interactions.

Family therapy can also be especially helpful during times of transition, such as blending families, adjusting to developmental changes, or navigating stressors that impact the entire household. Sessions provide a structured and supportive space where each family member can feel heard, while also learning new ways of relating to one another.

I also offer parent support and guidance to help caregivers feel more confident and equipped in responding to their child or teen’s emotional and behavioral needs.

All families, regardless of background or structure, are welcome and supported in this space.
