couples therapy

Couples counseling is a space to slow down the cycle of conflict, disconnection, and misunderstanding so that both partners can begin to feel more emotionally safe, heard, and understood within the relationship. My goal is to help couples move beyond surface-level arguments and better understand the deeper emotions, attachment needs, and patterns shaping their interactions.

Using an Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) approach, I help couples identify the negative cycles that keep them stuck and create new ways of communicating that foster greater connection, trust, and emotional intimacy. Often, underneath conflict are deeper fears of rejection, loneliness, hurt, or not feeling valued by one another. Together, we work to strengthen emotional responsiveness, rebuild connection, and create healthier patterns of relating.

I also integrate interventions from Gottman Method and Imago Relationship Therapy to support improved communication, conflict resolution, and understanding of one another’s experiences and needs. Couples counseling can help partners heal from past ruptures, navigate transitions or stressors, reconnect emotionally, and build a more secure and fulfilling relationship.

I provide affirming, inclusive care and welcome LGBTQ+ couples and relationships.

In addition to couples therapy, I offer premarital counseling for partners wanting to strengthen communication, deepen connection, and build a strong foundation before marriage.

Couples therapy sessions are $190 for a 50-minute session.
